| As hard as it might be to imagine when you visit a hospital but in order for hospitals to deliver health care they need to be run as a business. I have been involved in Health Care software since the early 1990's. I developed one of the first patient medical record systems for the oncology department of New England Medical Center. Over the years, I have developed systems for New England Medical Center, Boston Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dartmouth-Hitchcock and Cambridge Health Alliance.
Within these organizations I have helped the Human Resources department track employee retention issues and unfortunately layoff strategy as well. I have also helped a hospital figure out where the patients and services were going in the Emergency Department in order to affect a $2,000,000 savings. I have also created programs that track health care quality metrics in order to improve the delivery of services. |
